With a high-intensity soundtrack, PS3 Madden 10 players will get even more for their gaming dollar. The past few years have seen the soundtracks becoming an integral facet of the games, and Madden is leading the pack. PS3 Madden 10's soundtrack brings the right level of intensity, as well as a great mix of newer and older songs ("older" being a relative term here, of course). One gander at the song lineup should induce and impress: "Can't C Me" by 2Pac, "Heads are Gonna Roll" by Airbourne, "Them Bones" by Alice in Chains, "Created a Monster" by B.o.B, "Revolution" by Bang Camaro, "Sabotage" by Beastie Boys, "Paranoid" by Black Sabbath, "Get 'Em Up" by Cypress Hill, "Unsung" by Helmet, "Aces High" by Iron Maiden, "Painkiller" by Judas Priest, "I Am the Bullgod" by Kid Rock, "Reckoning" by Killswitch Engage, "Blind" by Korn, "Divinations" by Mastodon, "Hate Me Now" by Nas featuring Puff Daddy, "Breed" by Nirvana, "Walk" by Pantera, "Shut 'Em Down" by Public Enemy, "Guerrilla Radio" by Rage Against the Machine, "Gaia Bleeds (Make Way for Man)" by Set Your Goals, "Duality" by Slipknot, "Sugar" by System of a Down, "Before I Die" by The Vanity Plan," and "Cheah Beah" by Young Dre The Truth. If that ain't enough to sell you on PS3 Madden 10, maybe a history lesson will help. Yeah, it may be a little much to rave about a current day game at the expense of the earliest football video games. But when you look at the old versus the new, you can truly appreciate the epic nature of PS3 Madden 10. Obviously, football video games were on every gamer's wish list when the first console games were out there. The downside was, the gaming technology wasn't quite up to speed yet, so video football fanatics had to settle, in a big way. In any ads or promos, the manufacturers of this one insisted "all the excitement" of the genuine article. Competition was nonexistent, so this one was a huge hit for the biggest video game console in the day.
Those guys on the playing field sure couldn't pass for actual football players. That's just a harsh fact. You think that photo looks limited, you should see the gameplay itself. This one, like all early games, suffered from the "blinking graphics" syndrome, due to low programming capacity. There's just no way to try an explain how lousy the sound was. Things were so limited that a scrolling screen was out of the question. Soon after, this one was given a run for its money with the competition. It was yards better than that first one - people looked a bit more like people, the players no longer flickered, and gamers got their scrolling screen. Still needed work, though.
That one caused a huge sensation upon its arrival to the video game world, and while it set a (slightly) higher standard, this wasn't the foundation for football video games to be built on. That wouldn't come until several years down the line. This next one reaped the benefits of the 8-bit gaming revolution, and people still rave about it to this day. This one held the top spot for football video game fans forever.
Not hard to understand why that caught on - they were the first to really bring a more comprehensive simulation of football to the video game console. Everything - sound, visuals - got such a major upgrade that this was the final word in sports video games. Judging by its online revival, people still enjoy it today in small doses. That being said, PS3 Madden 10 still blows it away. Once you've viewed all the other games, have a gander at PS3 Madden 10. Yes, technology has been good to the video game world in general, and the football video game has benefitted from it all. That being said, time to lay off making fun of the older football video games. We've made our point. Those games, while archaic, got us to where we are today, and for that, they deserve their place in the video game hall of fame (though that first one may be better off in "video game hall of shame.") Of course, PS3 Madden 10 has really taken the ball and ran with it, which is cause for serious celebration in the video game world. But it's not just the hardcore gamers that are loving this one - the critics have weighed in, and they give it the thumbs up. Comments like "realistic and enjoyable" pepper each PS3 Madden 10 review. EA Sports has sacked all the competition with PS3 Madden 10, to nobody's surprise.
Don't listen to the naysayers and the contrarians - there are few games as great as PS3 Madden 10. Not to disparage the other PlayStation sports video games - they're all pretty excellent in their own right, but PS3 Madden rules the playing field. For many, this is the PlayStation football game by which all others are measured. Along with its major popularity, this is also where you get to battle for bucks.
PlayStation Madden 10 maniacs have the opportunity to challenge each other for some serious cash. You'll be making touchdowns, and nabbing your foe's money, after you've educated yourself in all things Madden 10.
